Introduction
In our previous post about visualizing data in HighLevel, we took a look at how and why data viz and tracking on dashboards is so important for HighLevel users. But this isn’t the whole story.
Gamification is another essential component of the contemporary contact center. It’s a proven means of increasing motivation and performance among employees: turning everyday work experiences into opportunities for competition, leveling up, and most importantly—fun.
While HighLevel offers a huge range of features, services, and benefits to users, it doesn’t have a gamification feature outside of its online Community. HighLevel Community participants can use gamification features such as points, badges, and leaderboards to indicate how they have engaged with content and other users—but, unfortunately, this feature is not available on the main platform.
Thankfully, Plecto is the perfect means to fill this gap. Along with its visualization capabilities, Plecto’s gamification features will further enhance your HighLevel user experience and bring your team’s performance to new highs. Read on to find out how!
Plecto’s gamification features
If you want both your HighLevel features and the gamification Plecto brings to the table, rest assured that the Plecto x HighLevel integration allows you the full access to both.
Whatever your gamification needs in whatever department—whether sales, marketing, or customer support—you can integrate Plecto with HighLevel and watch the magic of gamification take effect in real time. Note, however, that gamification features can be created or modified only in Plecto—HighLevel just displays them.
Notifications
Notifications are the perfect complement to identifying and celebrating the small daily wins and recognizing employee effort. You use notifications to indicate when a team or employee has reached a milestone or hit a KPI goal. Notifications in Plecto take several forms: automated messages (on Slack, Teams, or your Plecto News Feed); personalized videos or GIFs that appear on dashboard screens; and even light and sound effects (through Philips Hue and Sonos)!
Best yet, notifications appear on all devices connected to your Plecto account, letting you and your team stay connected and updated at any time.

Achievements
Achievements—Plecto-ese for badges—are another exciting means to keep your employees engaged and in the spotlight. These can be powerful boosts to help spur on employees’ performance. Badges take the form of trophies, dollar signs, star icons, or a customized icon that appears next to an employee name on your dashboards.
The strength of Achievements lies in their versatility. They’re easy to create and assign, and there’s a huge array of things you can choose to recognize and celebrate your agents for: “Employee of the Month” is only the start!

Contests
For a truly results-driven team, you can’t go wrong with Contests. These exciting events set employees or teams against each other to accomplish a goal—and get adrenaline pumping in the meantime! For large-scale projects that require a significant degree of input from everyone across the board, Contests are perfect means to accomplish these goals while building group camaraderie and collaboration.
Like the other gamification elements on this list, Contests are highly flexible, covering a wide range of uses. Whether you want a walk-a-thon like Telmore or a selling competition like If Forsikring, you can tailor the Contests feature to the exact parameters you want. You can use Plecto’s three contest templates—Race in Space, Jungle Race, and Mountain Climb—and even create your own personalized avatars.
No matter how you slice it, Contests drive results. Used alongside Leaderboards that display relevant data (see below), you won’t only bring your employees’ competitive edge to the next level—you’ll achieve your goals extra fast.

Leaderboards
Leaderboards are unique because they can either display Contest data, or indicate a contest in their own right. In the Leaderboards feature, agent names and profiles are displayed in either a top-down or “podium” (gold-silver-bronze) format. As with any other data, visualizing game-focused data is an extremely powerful and effective means to increase motivation and performance.
Who’s currently in first, second, third place? How far am I from reaching the top spot, and can I make it in time? Undoubtedly, these are some of the thoughts running through your agents’ heads as they see their progress toward hitting a KPI or other goal on your dashboard screens.

The Reward Store
While the other gamification features on this list are effective due to their use of intrinsic (self-directed) motivation, the Reward Store works on the basis of extrinsic (external) motivation. In other words, when the Reward Store is brought on the scene, you’re competing not merely for bragging rights, but real-life goodies!
Here’s how it works: the Reward Store displays various items, each worth a certain number of coins. Employees receive coins for completing a task or reaching a goal, and redeem these coins for the items in the Store. The goods for “sale” can be anything you like. Popular items include a bottle of wine, a dinner gift card for two, or cinema tickets. Regardless of the items to win, what is certain is that your teams and employees are guaranteed to have their competitive spirit unleashed!

Spin the Wheel
Finally…the Spinning Wheel. This exciting activity is a pure game of chance. Like the Reward Store, it offers employees the opportunity to win tangible prizes…but there’s no guarantee of who will win what…if anything at all!
The suspense the Spinning Wheel creates is a perfect means for teams to bond over a relaxing and lighthearted activity. You can use the Spinning Wheel to either reward top performers with a random prize, or simply bring everyone together at the end of the week to celebrate a job well done—a favorite Plecto office activity!

Conclusion
Plecto’s gamification features offer a lot of potential for the HighLevel user. Used alongside HighLevel, Plecto’s gamification capabilities promise to deliver exceptional employee performance, and turn everyday data collection into opportunities for extra motivation and teambuilding.
