How to Pair Sonos With Plecto

Playing notification sounds on Sonos

Upgrade your Plecto notifications and pair them with your Sonos speakers. 🔊

All you have to do is add your Sonos credentials (log in to your account) when setting up a Sonos notification action in Plecto.

Here's how to connect your Sonos to Plecto:

1. Go to Notifications and create a new notification or open an existing one.

2. In the Actions step, add the Play Sound on Sonos action.

3. Click the + New credentials button and sign in to your Sonos account.

4. Click Next, then Continue, then sign in.

5. Plecto will ask for permission to control your Sonos system. Click Okay to grant permission.

6. Make sure your Sonos is ready to connect, then choose a speaker from the list. If no speakers appear on the list, click the two arrows on the right to refresh the list.

7. Choose the notification sound or upload your custom sound in .mp3 format and max 5MB.

   The uploaded sound will be available for use to everyone in your organization.

8. Set the speaker volume (optional). The default volume is 100%.

9. Click Next to configure the notification conditions (what triggers the notification) or Save notification to finish.
