Align

Step 1: Retrieve your Align credentials

To integrate your Align data with Plecto, you need to provide the following credentials:

  • API Key

  • Refresh token

How to find your Align credentials

You get both credentials at the same time when you create an API key in Align:

  1. Log in to your Align account.

  2. Go to Administration > Manage API Keys.

  3. Click Create API Key.

  4. Fill out the following fields:

    • API Key Label: Give the key a name, for example, "Plecto".

    • Metric Scopes: Set to at least Read.

    • Metric Visibility: Set to Unrestricted. You can choose another option, but Plecto will then only import the metrics the key can see.

  5. Click Generate Key. Align downloads a .json file to your computer.

  6. Open the .json file in any text editor and copy the values of api_key and refresh_token.

Note: Store the .json file securely, as it gives access to your Align data.

Once you have retrieved both credentials, move to Step 2 to connect your Align account with Plecto.

Step 2: Integrate Align with Plecto

  1. In Plecto, go to Data sources > New data source > Align. You can also open the Align data source directly.

  2. Enter your API key and refresh token and click Next.

  3. Select the data you want to import.

  4. Configure your data source settings. Here, you can change the title, choose the default date, select which fields to import, and more.

  5. Click Next to choose how much data to import and how long you want to keep it in the data source.

  6. Click Import to finish.
