Introduction to Streaks

What are streaks?

A streak counts how many times in a row someone does something: a call every day, a booked meeting every week, or won deals without a lost one in between.

Once a run is long enough, a flame badge with the number appears next to the person's name on dashboards, and the team can celebrate it on the office TV. 🔥

Streaks reward consistency rather than volume, which makes them a great fit for daily habits like logging activity, making calls, or following up on leads.

Streak types

  • Days: One registration a day keeps the streak going. A day without one ends it, weekends included.

  • Working days: Like Days, but weekends are skipped instead of ending the streak.

  • Weeks: One registration a week keeps the streak going. A week (Monday to Sunday) without one ends it.

  • Registrations: Counts every registration that meets your conditions. One that doesn't resets the streak to zero. For example, won deals in a row until a deal is lost.

  • Registrations, same day: Like Registrations, but only within one day. Everyone starts over at midnight.

A streak can count registrations from a data source, or each employee's result on a formula, such as reaching 50 calls a day. Formula streaks work with Days, Working days, and Weeks.

Where can I see streaks?

  • Dashboards: A flame badge with the current run appears next to people's names on Leaderboard and Table widgets, with the streak's name sliding out next to it. Badges show on every leaderboard and table, whatever the widget measures. If someone is on several streaks, the first three from your Streaks list are shown.

  • TV screens: With Announce on screens turned on, Plecto celebrates milestones on the Home slideshows of the employee's teams. The first announcement comes when the streak starts showing, then at every 5 (5, 10, 15, and so on), for example Daily calls: 5 days in a row! Teams without a Home slideshow don't get announcements.

  • Mobile app: When a streak that was showing ends, the employee gets a Streak lost push notification in the Plecto mobile app. Plecto notices a missed day or week when the employee's next registration comes in, so that's when the notification arrives.

To hide streak badges on a specific widget, turn on Hide streaks in the widget's settings. The setting is available on Table widgets and on Leaderboards grouped by employee.

Employee and team streaks

By default, everyone on a streak has their own run. When a streak counts for teams, you can turn on Team streak to count one streak per team instead. The team works on it together, and a registration from anyone on the team keeps it going.

Who can set up streaks?

Streaks use the achievement permissions:

  • View all achievements to see streaks

  • Create and edit all achievements to create and edit streaks

  • Delete all achievements to delete streaks

Streaks are available to organizations with Notifications in their plan.
