Milestone Contests

What is a Milestone Contest?

A Milestone Contest is a contest theme where participants earn prizes for reaching milestones on the way to the contest target, instead of competing for first place. Every player or team that hits a milestone earns its prize, independently of how everyone else is doing. No placement needed.

This makes Milestone Contests a great fit when you want to motivate the whole team, not just the top performers. For example, everyone earns coins at 25 sales, a gift card at 50, and the grand prize at the contest target of 100.

How milestones work

  • A Milestone Contest has one or more milestones, each with its own target value and prize. Targets must increase from one milestone to the next.

  • The final milestone is locked to your contest target, which you set on the "Targets & Players" step.

  • Each milestone's prize is either:

    • Coins: participants are awarded the coins automatically the moment they reach the milestone. Coins can be spent in your organization's Reward Store.

    • Custom: a prize you hand out yourself, with a name (e.g. "Gift card") and an optional image.

  • In a team contest, every member of the team receives the coins when their team reaches a milestone.

  • Each milestone can only be earned once per participant. Once reached, it stays achieved for the rest of the contest.

How to create a Milestone Contest:

  1. Go to Contests > New.

  2. Add a contest title, choose the contest type (players or teams), and click Continue.

  3. Choose the Milestone Contest theme and click Continue.

  4. Select a contest formula and set the contest target. The target becomes your final milestone.

  5. Add your players or teams and click Continue.

  6. Set the contest duration. On this step, add your milestones under Milestones. Click Add milestone, then set a target and a prize for each reward level.

  7. Click Continue to review and start the contest.

Note: The milestone progress is visible directly on the contest. Participants can see which milestones they have reached and what prize is waiting at the next one.
